Stacking Penalties: Amplifying Strategic Gameplay

The Stacking Penalty, introduced in the 2023-24 season, penalizes using multiple athletes from the same club to encourage diverse team formation. Kicking in when the stacking limit for a club is breached, it reduces the score for any athletes exceeding that limit.

This feature only applies for Ultimate Champions Football, in Leagues and Tournaments game modes. Stacking limits do not apply to Basketball.

Football Stacking Limits

The Stacking Penalty is applied based on the pick order of athletes. Athletes selected later will face the penalty once the club's limit is exceeded. Be strategic in your selections to navigate this rule effectively.

Athlete marked: 1st stacking penalty triggered

Athlete marked: 2nd stacking penalty triggered

Athlete on-field: 2nd stacking penalty applied

Team build: 2 clubs over-represented, triggering Stacking Penalty.

5-a-side team: 3rd athlete from the same club gets a score reduction due to Stacking Penalty
