The Card Booster feature aims to improve the long-term economy of our game by introducing a deflationary mechanism for Cards! Through the Card Booster, managers can burn their cards to refresh the Tournament Entries for the Condition Bonus of other cards đĨâ¨
The Card Booster can be accessed when browsing a specific Card you own as a manager. Simply click on the card in your collection and scroll down to see the Card Condition panel.
You can also directly access the booster from Collection or Marketplace tiles by clicking on the contextual menu '...'
Once you're in the Card Booster, you will be able to select the Card you would like to boost and the Card(s) you would like to burn.
To understand how the Card Booster, it is important to understand the Card Conditions. All details can be checked here: Card Bonuses Each card starts with the same number of 'Tournament entries', with a total of 60 entries before losing all bonuses. The card will progressively degrade through 3 different conditions:
15% performance bonus
10% performance bonus
5% performance bonus
0% performance bonus
At this stage, card no longer have a condition bonus or icon
15% Performance bonus
Managers can burn their cards to refresh the Tournament Entries for the Condition Bonus of other cards. The number of Tournament Entries refreshed will depend on the rarity of the burned card:
đ Managers will have the flexibility to select multiple cards to burn at once, with the refreshing effect directed towards a specific card.
đ The Collection Score of burned cards will be added permanently to the managers' Collection Score, meaning that you won't get penalized for the Holders First Program đ or other perks linked to collection score.
â ī¸ Burned cards will be permanently removed from circulation, no one in the Ultimate Champions' team can revert it as it is a blockchain action.
đ Cards can be "overcharged", meaning that a card can have more Tournament Entries in the best condition state (mint) than the original mint limit. Example: a 'Mint' card with 9 Tournament Entries left, when refreshed by burning an Epic card, will become 'Mint' with 24 Tournament Entries (9 existing uses + 15 refreshed uses).
Regarding modifiers specificities, we are proud to introduce a dynamic model that puts the most power in the hands of our users:
Modifiers Are Not Locked Unlike some static gaming systems, our modifiers are not locked at the time of selection. You have the flexibility to make changes to your athlete's modifiers during the gameweek.
Boost Effectiveness If you decide to boost your card during the gameweek and your athlete has not played yet, the boost will be immediately effective once the athlete steps onto the pitch.
Updates from OPTA We stay up-to-date with the latest data from OPTA. If there are any updates regarding your athlete's performance, stats, or other relevant information, our system will take those updates into account to ensure that your modifiers are accurately applied.
Disclaimer â ī¸:
Please note that while we strive to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information, a boosted modifier during a live gameweek may not be guaranteed to be updated post-match if no scoring update is collected for the athlete.
It's important to note that if you burn a card that was present in a live gameweek, it will result in an empty slot in your team. This action carries a risk, as any scoring points that would have been earned by that athlete will be lost if the gameweek is not already closed.
With this dynamic approach, you have more control and adaptability, allowing you to fine-tune your strategies and maximize your team's performance throughout the gameweek. Embrace the power of real-time modifications and excel as a true Ultimate Champion! đ
